Rusey means 'life' in Na'vi. This river is the only source of fresh water to the Ikran People, hence its name. The Rusey comes from a various collection of mountain springs, forming into one large river that flows from the mountains and past Homerock, only to end in a large waterfall that spills into the ocean. There are no rocks beneath the waterfall, so young Ikran use the falls to dive and play around, despite its height. Fish do not live in the river due to its rough nature.
